We care a lot about our ingredients and where they come from. That's why we work with Atlantic Sea Farms - the first sustainable open water kelp farm in the U.S.
Kelp is a pretty powerful vegetable. It’s packed with omega 3s, Vitamin D, and iodine — aka the good stuff you need in your diet.
This noodle-like sea vegetable grows in cold, clean ocean waters. Taking advantage of this allows Atlantic Sea Farms to do its most eco-friendly work: growing kelp in a pesticide-free environment without any irrigation.
As it grows, kelp naturally purifies the surrounding waters. We call that a win-win.
Lobster fishing happens in the summer. Kelp harvesting happens in the winter. Atlantic Sea Farms helps this yin and yang happen by teaching local lobster fishermen how to grow kelp, giving them the chance to earn a salary otherwise reliant on a single season’s success.
Atlantic Sea Farms harvests young kelp, which offers a fresher, less oceanic flavor than alternatives. They freeze the kelp the same day they harvest it, which retains its super-tender texture, and more vibrant color.

Good ingredients matter. Who farms them, where they’re grown, and what makes them better.
